All About Mrs. Hillanbrand

      Hello!  My name is Michele Hillanbrand and I have been employed by Catasauqua Area School District for 26 years.  I graduated from Millersville University with a dual degree in Elementary and Special Education.  I also attended Lehigh University and received my master's degree in Special Education.  I began my teaching career right here at Sheckler Elementary School, where  I have taught second grade for 24 years.  I have also served as a learning support teacher for two years.  I am very excited about beginning this new school year.  I am eager to meet all of my students.  I can't wait to begin our exciting journey together.

     When I am not at school, I love to spend time doing things with my family. I live in Allentown, PA with my husband Larry, and my two wonderful children. My husband and I celebrated our 24th wedding anniversary this summer.  My son Connor is 22 years old.   He is out in the workforce working full-time.  Connor enjoys working out, working on his car, and playing video games. My daughter Ashlyn is 19 years old and will be starting her sophmore year at Alvernia University where she is majoring in Nursing.  She enjoys playing softball both in college and during the summer.  When she's not on the softball field, she enjoys reading and spending time with her friends.  As for me, I enjoy gardening, watching my daughter play softball, shopping,  but most of all, I enjoy spending quality time with my family.
