About the Teacher

 Hi there!

I am Melissa Grube. I graduated from Penn State University and have been working at Sheckler Elementary School since 2001. I have taught kindergarten and first grade and worked in third and fourth grade classrooms. Prior to teaching at Sheckler, I worked at a learning center, coached cheering, and directed the North Catty Playground. I really enjoy teaching children! Why did I become a teacher????? It is the most rewarding job in the world! I enjoy watching my students have an "Ah Ha!" moment when they understand something they were so diligently working toward.  Best feeling ever!!!

Color: aqua, teal, pink and lavendar  OH! AND... SUNSHINE! It's my favorite color!    

Animals: dog, sloth, otter

Dinner: Seafood 

Snack: Herr's Sour Cream and Onion Chips! Mmmmmmmmmmm!

Music: 80s, 90s, and Country Music

Past-time Activities: walking by dog, gardening, camping, going to the beach, and being with family and friends
