About Mrs. Gallo
About The Teacher
My name is Jami Gallo, and I have been teaching for 29 years. I graduated from Millersville University, and have my Master's in special education from East Stroudsburg University. I live in Northampton, Pennsylvania. I have two beautiful daughters. Gabrielle is 23 years old, and just finished the first year of her doctorate program at Cedar Crest College. She enjoys taking dance classes, skiing, and volunteering at Lehigh Valley Hospital. Ali is going to be 20 years old this year. She is a sophomore at Penn State University. I am very proud of them!
In my free time, I love spending time with my girls and dog, Ryli. I love watching football. I'm a big Miami Dolphins fan. During football season, if the Dolphins win on Sunday your child will not have any homework on Monday. Each year the Dolphins pick up a few more fans from Sheckler as my whole class tends to cheer them on in hopes of no homework on Mondays. I have taught third grade for 3 years, special education for 2 years, and fourth grade for 8 years. This will be my 16th year as a second grade teacher, and I am very excited about it!!!! I really enjoy the second-grade curriculum- and it doesn't get any better than the smiles and enthusiasm of 7-year-olds. If you ever have questions or just need to talk, call or stop in anytime- my door is always open. Thank you for sharing your child with me this year! I look forward to a fantastic year!
Mission For The Class
My mission for this class is to enjoy learning. I want my students to be the best students that they can possibly be, and enjoy school at the same time. Not only is it my job to prepare them for third grade, but it is also my job to encourage them to be lifelong learners. I will do my best, and I expect the same from my students.
