3rd Grade Parents
Third grade students will see me about 12 times a year for classroom guidance lessons. I usually come in 3 times a year for 4-5 week lesson series. Topics will be bullying, conflict resolution and career development. Please know that we will be looking for parent volunteers to come in and share about their careers in the spring of each year when 3rd grade has their Career Day
Each year your student will also get 8 weeks of the PATHS (Promoting Alternative THinking Strategies) program. This is provided by exceptional facilitators from the CARON Foundation.
Your 3rd grader may participate in small educational groups. Groups run during your child's lunch time and last about 6-8 weeks. Groups topics include, but are not limited to, anger management, impulse control, friendship skills, divorce support and grief groups. Permission slips are handed out to each student in September, as a student cannot participate in a group without parental permission. If the permission slip gets lost, you can have your student come in and get a new one from me or you can call or email me and I will send one home.
Sometimes things happen throughout the school year that need some individual attention. If you'd like me to check in with your child, or if you need any information or resources, please call or email me. My phone number is 610-264-5601 (option #2) and email is ceccattik@cattysd.org.
